Meaning:

Hurt Hearts Hurt is a song describing the way in which personal healing can improve the way we treat others. As we "put our pain into words" and "put in the work," we begin the healing process. By doing so, we can stop the cycle of hurting others when internally we are really grappling with our own hurt.

Welcome to the Future is song about how we are always moving into the future, with all of the uncertainty that comes with it. It is a meditation on how the future has always been, and always will be, an uncomfortable adjustment. Yet, as the title implies, we are continuously forced to welcome the future. So, "hold on" for the ride.

See You In Another Life: I wrote this song for a family friend who had a second chance at love later in life, only to experience the heartbreak of losing that special person much too soon. It's a song about appreciating the love that existed while it did, and cherishing the memory as time goes on. It's the hope to "See you in another life."

Follow the Light Back Home is about getting the chance to be with loved ones during those special times of the year. It's having a smile on your face during the commute to wherever and whomever, 'home' is for you. It is cherishing the indescribable feeling of being 'at home' with loved ones where you can feel safe, grounded, and at ease. "When you're here don't be afraid. Just be."

Catchin' Rays is a lighter song I was inspired to write that is simply about happy moments. For me, the beach on Cape Cod is a special place and so this song is an example of going somewhere in nature that brings you happiness where "time just seems to fade". This is a song about the "beach on the Cape."
