1. Figure Eight

1. Figure Eight

1. Figure Eight

Meaning:

Figure Eight is song about the way in which humans can fall into patterns where they don't actually move toward what they truly want, despite moving around a lot. "Are we ever moving straight? Are we just destined to make a perfect Figure Eight?"

Lyrics:

He likes her, but she likes another

Both are chasing, all this time is wasted

And people confused, they can't choose

For some it takes a lifetime to do

Are we ever moving straight

Are we just destined to make

This perfect figure eight

This perfect figure eight

History seems to be repeating

All around the world are broken treaties

Is anybody right? Everybody thinks they're right

Mostly we're just coping with the uncertainty

Are we ever moving straight

Are we just destined to make

This perfect figure eight

This perfect figure eight

And some people they want help

And some people they get well

But some people get comfortable in hell

Are we ever moving straight

Are we just destined to make

This perfect figure eight

This perfect figure eight

2. Sun Showers

1. Figure Eight

1. Figure Eight

Meaning:

Sun Showers is a song about the way in which life can be unpredictable like the weather, yet we can still choose to have hope and be with the ones we love. "Sometimes life is a like a sun shower."

Lyrics:

I lay my head on a pillow

A worried mind will go where it will go

Unlike tides that rise and tides that roll

Parts of life they just don't seem to flow

I'm sitting here on my patio

And the good times shine and then they go

Like clouds that hide and clouds that show

Sometimes life is like a sun shower

Sun showers

Life can be unpredictable

But I choose to spend my time with her

Throughout all the sun showers

Flowers die then flowers grow

With every drop of water

There are some things I may never know

But the blossoms always give me hope

Like sun showers

Life can be unpredictable

But I choose to spend my time with her

Throughout all the sun showers

Sun showers

Life can be unpredictable

But I choose to spend my time with her

Throughout all the sun showers

3. Hey Mom

1. Figure Eight

4. In the Beginning

Meaning:

Hey Mom is a tribute to... you guessed it, my mom!

*original photography*

Lyrics:

Hey mom

Look how far, how far we've come

Hey mom

There's really nothing that can't be done

With faith and grace and love and being genuine

She said stay inspired

So few branches but I know they grow higher

She said be wiser

Speak with reason, appreciate each season

And rest when you're tired

Hey mom

Look how far, how far we've come

Hey mom

There's really nothing that can't be done

With faith and grace and love and being genuine

I've got the food

You've got the stove on

Bring us together

Work hard but land soft like a feather

Hey mom

Look how far, how far we've come

Hey mom

There's really nothing that can't be done

With faith and grace and love and being genuine

You can't always be happy in this life

But if you keep doing right

You can be

You can be satisfied

Hey mom

Look how far, how far we've come

Hey mom

There's really nothing that can't be done

With faith and grace and love and being genuine

4. In the Beginning

4. In the Beginning

4. In the Beginning

Meaning:

In the Beginning is about the early experiences of a new love, with all the excitement and joy that comes with it. The chorus reminds us of the changes that inevitably come in relationships, requiring us to adapt, work together, and grow together. It's about a sustainable love.

"For the rest of our lives. We try and we try. To get back to the beginning."

Lyrics:

In the beginning

Everything feels right

In the beginning

There's no end in sight

In the beginning

There's no losing and no winning

In the beginning

Cause everything's so sweet

And complete

But time goes by

And changes complicate our lives

So we sing old songs

We hold on to memories

We love forevermore

Like in the beginning

In the beginning

In the beginning

There's no such thing as time

In the beginning

There's no yours and no mine

Cause everything's so sweet

And complete

But time goes by

And changes complicate our lives

So we sing old songs

We hold on to memories

We love forevermore

Like in the beginning

And for the rest of our lives

We try and we try

To get back to the beginning

In the beginning

5. Photographs

4. In the Beginning

5. Photographs

Meaning:

Photographs is a song about grieving a meaningful loss in your life. I wrote it for my uncle Joe who I (and soooo many others) loved dearly. He gave so much to others and I wanted to do something special for him by writing this song as a tribute to him. This song reminds us that we can still hold our loved ones near even after they have passed. "I'll see you in photographs. See you in memories. Feel you in every laugh."

Lyrics:

Is it true

Cause it's hard to believe it

A life with you

Now it means something different

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

All the feelings

All the feelings we had to go through

We miss you being

Always being the glue

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

You built bridges

To help others

Now in heaven there's no struggle

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

I'll see you in photographs

See you in memories

Feel you in every laugh

6. The Wind

4. In the Beginning

5. Photographs

Meaning:

The Wind, which is the name of the album, is a song about realizing when you need to let go. It describes how life can often be hard and that trying to do things your own way is not always the best way. It's a meditation on acceptance and gracefully flowing with life.

"So I open up my wings and fly, forever."

Lyrics:

These days

I've been flying sideways

And these days

I've been trying my way

But things don't go my way

So I need a change

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

So I open up my wings and fly

Forever

These days

Things just fall into place

And these days

I'm letting go of my mistakes

Cause I needed

I needed a change

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

So I open up my wings and fly

And life, it's hard

But it comes how we found it

And we, we don't get too far

Trying to get around it

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

Oh the wind

I surrender

You win

It's now or never

So I open up my wings and fly

Forever

7. A Parent's Love

8. Reintroduce Yourself

8. Reintroduce Yourself

Meaning:

A Parent's Love is a reminder of how significant and meaningful a parent's love is for their children. It's about showing up as a parent. "There's nothin' above A Parent's Love. So make it apparent that they'll always have it."

Lyrics:

Never let the struggle

Get in the way of

Holding em' up

And solving problems

Never let the failures

Get in the way of

Showing your love

Through all your actions

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

Teach your son and daughter

How to stand much taller

You can always let them call you

You'll make their falls feel shorter

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

And teach them the lessons

Like when life gives lemons

Just how to make the best of them

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

There's nothing above

A parent's love

So make it apparent

That they'll always have it

8. Reintroduce Yourself

8. Reintroduce Yourself

8. Reintroduce Yourself

Meaning:

Reintroduce Yourself is a song I wrote about looking within yourself, to find the person you may have lost touch with. It is so easy to be led astray in this life and lose touch with yourself. This song reminds us to remember and honor our authentic, core being. "No need to hide when you love yourself from the inside. So reintroduce yourself" to yourself.

Lyrics:

There is someone for you to meet

They've been waiting for a chance to speak

You've been wonderin' and wishin'

They'd return, oh how you've missed them

But don't pretend

They'll feel like an old best friend

Reintroduce yourself

Oh, to yourself

No need to hide when you love yourself from the inside

So reintroduce yourself

There is someone for you to meet

They've been waiting for a chance to speak

There are some things you may not like

But imperfections they can brighten your life

So don't pretend

They'll feel like an old best friend

Reintroduce yourself

Oh, to yourself

No need to hide when you love yourself from the inside

So reintroduce yourself

To someone beautiful and someone strong

And someone special you could tell was there all along

Cause you rise like the sunshine

And the moon that's right behind

There is no end and no goodbye

Reintroduce yourself

Oh, to yourself

No need to hide when you love yourself from the inside

So reintroduce yourself

9. Hope and Pain

8. Reintroduce Yourself

9. Hope and Pain

Meaning:

Hope and Pain is a song about recovering and healing from whatever pain a person may be recovering from. This song reminds us that hope will always be there alongside the pain. We are reminded that this cycle will continue forever so "hold onto tight to love... and find peace inside of your soul."

Lyrics:

There are two parts of you

Competing to be the truth

Do you burn like coal?

Or shine like diamonds?

There's been times when you've been both

And clarity and confusion

You would show yourself then hide

Find your resolution

When your two parts collide

Maybe hope and pain

They need each other to sustain

And maybe this cycle

Is gonna be here forever

So hold on tight to love

Until your heart becomes whole

And you find peace inside of your soul

You would start then end

But nothing stopped you from trying again

You used all of your heart

In the best and hardest parts

And clarity and confusion

You would show yourself then hide

Find your resolution

When your two parts collide

Maybe hope and pain

They need each other to sustain

And maybe this cycle

Is gonna be here forever

So hold on tight to love

Until your heart becomes whole

And you find peace inside of your soul

You've burned bridges

You've dug tunnels

You've asked for forgiveness

Let's heal your struggles

Maybe hope and pain

They need each other to sustain

And maybe this cycle

Is gonna be here forever

So hold on tight to love

Until your heart becomes whole

And you find peace inside of your soul

10. Sea Breeze

10. Sea Breeze

9. Hope and Pain

Meaning:

Sea Breeze is a song is about the serenity that we find when we soothe our souls. We all need healthy forms of soothing to get through this life. This is about the calming feeling of a sea breeze. A long time ago, my grandfather had a boat called "Sea Breeze." He was a very special person who really made you feel loved and at ease. "The sea breeze has got me...it's soothing."

*original photography*

Lyrics:

Trouble I've seen, trouble that found me

A rock and a hard place I've been in between

Sometimes I think I've fallen behind

But at the end of the tunnel I found light

The sea breeze has got me

The sea breeze has got me, yeah

The sea breeze has got me

It's soothing

Everybody been waiting for the time of their lives

Working to the bone, working for a bone

People come and go in and out of your life

Reflections change but the memories remain

The sea breeze has got me

The sea breeze has got me, yeah

The sea breeze has got me

It's soothing

Right now there are no questions

Right now there are no answers

The sea breeze has got me

The sea breeze has got me, yeah

The sea breeze has got me

It's soothing

11. Be Uniting

10. Sea Breeze

11. Be Uniting

Meaning:

Be Uniting is a song about the timeless theme of conflict in this world. There has and likely will always be human conflict at every level of society. This song is a meditation on resolving that conflict. "People, don't let them divide us. What we need is inside us. To live with love."

Lyrics:

People, we are people

Young or old, we are all

Shaped in our relationships

And without love there can be lies, even hatred

Now we're still left with

This timeless question

People, why are we fighting?

We should be uniting

To live as one

And people, don't let them divide us

Cause what we need is inside of us

To live with love

Depression, worries that never end

Unraveling when pulled by every thread

And differences, are they appreciated?

Not separated by our skin

We're still left with

This timeless question

People, why are we fighting?

We should be uniting

To live as one

And people, don't let them divide us

Cause what we need is inside of us

To live with love

There's a difference in you, there's a difference in me too, yeah

But can we meet in the middle, can we just consider

All the different ways

We all can be the change

People, why are we fighting?

We should be uniting

To live as one

And people, don't let them divide us

Cause what we need is inside of us

To live with love
